Frosch Student Travel has been appointed by the University Studies Abroad Consortium to provide an optional group flight to Montevideo, Uruguay for your study abroad program. We will provide round-trip transportation on American Airlines from your local city to Montevideo via Miami departing on May 23, 2020. Please register online for a fare quote to depart from your local city to merge with the Miami group flight.
All flights will merge with the Miami group flight.
If the group flight does not meet your travel plans, you may continue to register online above and specify your preferred departure city to merge with the group flight on the reservation form under departure options as per instructions below.
Under departure options please select “other” and “depart from an alternate city”. The “from” box will appear and you may specify your preferred departure city to merge with the group flight. Please continue to complete the reservation form. Your ticket will not be issued until you receive and accept a fare quote. We will contact you via email regarding the fare upon receipt of your form. TICKET VALIDITY AND RETURN FLIGHT INFORMATION
- Your return ticket is valid until November 22, 2020 (6 months) from Montevideo back to the city of your departure.
- We are offering a group return flight departing Montevideo on July 04, 2020. You may fly back with the group or you may opt to fly back independently on a different date.
- You may also choose to connect with the Cuba program in Miami. Please specify your choice on the reservation form.
- Once abroad you are allowed to change your already confirmed return flight date for a fee of $350 plus difference in fare based on availability for each ticket by contacting our Frosch Student Travel office while abroad. Please note that all date changes are subject to availability of the flights and require 30 days advance notice. May, June, July and August are the busiest months for travel to the USA. The ticket you are purchasing has limited availability on the flights.
- City or Destination changes are not allowed under any circumstances. Any unused portion of your ticket is non-refundable.
CANCELLATION FEES
You are purchasing a non-refundable ticket.

Your round-trip electronic ticket will be sent to your email address specified on the reservation form.

SEATING
PLEASE BE ADVISED: We will provide free pre-assigned seating on available flights. Not all airlines allow free pre-assigned seating and will charge a seat fee per flight. You may also choose a free seat using online check-in 24 hours prior to departure or at the check-in counter at the airport to avoid any seating fees.
BAGGAGE ALLOWANCE
For the URUGUAY flights you are allowed to check-in 1 free bag weighing not more than 50 pounds. The total dimensions of the bag must be 62 inches (length, width and height). You may also carry-on 1 free bag weighing not more than 12 pounds. The total dimensions of the bag must not exceed more than 45 inches (length, width and height).
For the CUBA flights you are allowed to check-in 1 bag for a fee of $30 weighing not more than 50 pounds. The total dimensions of the bag must be 62 inches (length, width and height). You may also carry-on 1 free bag weighing not more than 12 pounds. The total dimensions of the carry-on bag must not exceed more than 45 inches (length, width and height).
The airlines are very strict about the baggage allowance. Please do not try to check-in over-sized or over-weight baggage as it may result in an excess baggage penalty at the airport.
Please be able to handle all your own baggage. Traveling with light baggage will make your travels much easier.
